New England Boatworks

New England Boatworks (NEB) was founded in 1980 by George H. Shuster, Jr. and Joseph Loughborough. The company is located in Portsmouth, Rhode Island, and has established itself as a builder of custom yachts and a service provider for various marine craft. NEB's operations include new yacht construction, refits, repairs, and storage, catering to both sailing and motor yachts.

From its inception, NEB focused on combining traditional boatbuilding craftsmanship with advanced composite materials and construction techniques. This approach has allowed the shipyard to produce yachts designed for performance and durability. Over the years, NEB has completed projects ranging from racing sailboats and cruising yachts to powerboats and commercial vessels.

The shipyard has been involved in several notable projects, including the construction of America's Cup yachts and other high-performance racing boats.
