About Yacht Listing Check
Yacht Listing Check is an independent yacht listing analysis service working internationally. It prepares individual reports on how a yacht is priced, described and presented against the listings it competes with. Yacht Listing Check is not a yacht brokerage, does not hold sales mandates and does not represent buyers or sellers.
Who operates the service
Yacht Listing Check is operated by an independent analysis desk. Reports are prepared by analysts with experience of reading yacht listings across the motor and sailing segments, from production yachts through to custom builds. Research tools support the collection of public listing data; interpretation and every written conclusion are human work.
Why the service exists
Sellers rarely receive an explanation for silence. A yacht can sit on the market for months while the reasons remain invisible: an asking price that reads high next to three comparable listings, a specification missing the fields buyers filter on, or photographs that predate a refit. This service exists to put those reasons in writing, independently of whoever holds the mandate.
Independence from the listing broker
Yacht Listing Check earns no commission on a yacht sale and competes for no mandates. That independence is the point of the service: an assessment that has nothing to gain from either a higher or a lower asking price. We do not contact the listing broker, the owner or any third party about a yacht unless the client asks us to.
Analysis is not brokerage
A brokerage markets a yacht and negotiates its sale under a mandate. An analysis service reviews how that yacht is presented and positioned, and hands the findings to the client. Yacht Listing Check performs the second role only. It is also distinct from marine surveyors, legal and tax advisors, formal valuation companies and classification societies, none of whose work it replaces.
