Keith Marine of Jacksonville, Florida, built steel commercial vessels and custom motor yachts, applying commercial construction standards to private yachting. Its hulls were engineered for durability and offshore work rather than speed.

Yachts from the yard were typically developed with naval architects such as Fry Associates and fitted out by international interior designers including Donald Starkey. The result is a group of heavy displacement motor yachts with generous tankage, wide beam and long transatlantic range.
