ISA Yachts

ISA Yachts (International Shipyards Ancona) was founded in Ancona, Italy, in 2001. The shipyard began its operations focused on the construction of large motor yachts. Over the years, ISA Yachts established a reputation for building custom and semi-custom superyachts.

Initially, the shipyard's strategy involved combining Italian design with engineering. Early models often featured prominent exterior styling and customizable interiors. The company experienced growth in its early years, expanding its range of yacht sizes and introducing different product lines.

In 2015, the shipyard underwent a change in ownership when it was acquired by Palumbo Group, an Italian company with a history in ship repair and refit. Following the acquisition, ISA Yachts became part of Palumbo Superyachts, a division that also includes brands such as Columbus Yachts. This integration allowed ISA Yachts to leverage the industrial capabilities and infrastructure of the larger group.

Under Palumbo Superyachts, ISA Yachts continued production at its Ancona facility. The brand maintained its focus on custom and semi-custom superyachts, while also exploring new design concepts and technologies. The product portfolio was diversified to include different series, continuing to offer both displacement and semi-displacement hull forms.

The shipyard's production process typically involves in-house design and engineering capabilities, complemented by collaborations with external naval architects and interior designers. Construction methods often incorporate steel hulls for larger displacement yachts and aluminum for faster, semi-displacement models. The Ancona facility provides direct access to the Adriatic Sea for sea trials and deliveries. The current production focus remains on superyachts within the 30-80 meter range, with both new construction and refit services available through the Palumbo Superyachts network.
