Damen Maaskant Shipyards

Damen Maaskant Shipyards in Stellendam has built rugged steel vessels for the North Sea since the post-war years and joined the Damen Shipyards Group in the 1990s. Its core output is commercial: trawlers, offshore support vessels and government craft engineered for continuous, heavy-weather service.

That commercial DNA has made Maaskant hulls popular as the basis for explorer yachts. Several conversions combine the yard's displacement steel hulls and long transoceanic range with yacht interiors by studios such as Vripack, producing capable go-anywhere vessels with genuine seagoing pedigree.
